Some developers attempted to take the English .bin files from the PC version (MHF-Extreme) and repack them into the Vita's patch.gpf file. This failed for two reasons:

The English patch for Monster Hunter Frontier G/Z on the PS Vita is a community-created mod that translates the Japanese game data into English. Because Frontier was an MMO that received over a decade of updates, translating it is an enormous task.
Since the PC version already works perfectly on modern handhelds (Steam Deck, ROG Ally), the incentive to revive the inferior, lower-resolution Vita port is zero.
There was one legitimate proof-of-concept by a developer named dots_tb in 2016 showing a translated quest list on a PSTV. That is as far as it got. No public release. No patch. A ghost in the machine.
