The story revolves around , a middle‑aged woman whose husband leaves her, accusing her of frigidity. Left alone with their teenage son Paul (Mike Ranger), Barbara struggles financially and emotionally. Her friend Gina (Juliet Anderson) tries to help by introducing her to swinger parties, where Barbara observes uninhibited sexual activity.
